Band Scholarship(s)

Would you like to continue playing your instrument and get paid for it? If so, Cowley College is the place for you. At Cowley we have three performing ensembles:

  • Concert Band is our large performing ensemble and is open to all students. This group performs a wide variety of literature and presents several concerts each semester.
  • Jazz Band is our smaller performing ensemble and is open to all students. Jazz Band performs a broad range of jazz literature, presents several concerts per semester, travels to various jazz festivals, and also tours to help recruit for the Cowley College Band Program.
  • Tiger Beat is the Cowley College pep band and is open to all students. Tiger Beat performs at various home sporting events as well as several campus events throughout the school year. With a repertoire consisting of well-known rock, funk, and pop charts, Tiger Beat helps to provide a fun atmosphere and promote school spirit.

Transfer Options:

In most cases, the transfer student has a stronger theory background than that of a student who is completing the first two years at a four-year institution. Smaller class size allows more one-to-one contact between students and instructors.
