ACES help beautify Cowley State Fishing Lake

September 9, 2020

Students in Cowley College’s Academic Civic Engagement through Service (ACES) recently spent the day cleaning up debris at the Cowley State Fishing Lake.

According to ACES sponsor James Fry, the group picked up more than 25 bags of trash.

“It was a good day of getting to know each other,” Fry said.

Those helping clean up the Cowley State Fishing Lake were Nathan Holloway, Hayden Gross, Elexis Bates, Morgan Nellis, Austin Mills, Jaron McKinney, Paige Lange, Hannah Phillips, Shanna Nichols, and Nathan Mann.

The ACES program involves active participants in the local community, selflessly giving of their time and talents. Connections are made between classroom work and work in service.
