Dr. Schoon was humbled to receive this recognition from the Wichita Business Journal.
“As a career educator, the success of students is the best recognition received, but being selected for the Women Who Lead in Education recognition is an honor that is much appreciated,” Dr. Schoon said.
Cowley College president Dr. Dennis C. Rittle said Dr. Schoon consistently exhibits an attitude of harmony with her colleagues balanced with a tenacious desire to improve herself and the outcomes of her department.
“Her approach to managing and leading others has not only inspired those within her department to raise their level of effort and productivity, but equally those who are her peers and supervising other departments,” Dr. Rittle said. “She is very deserving of this recognition. On behalf of Tiger Nation, Congratulations Michelle!”
