Cowley conducting Business Bootcamp sessions
Cowley College in Arkansas City is teaming with the Arkansas City Chamber of Commerce, RCB Bank, and The Trust Company of Kansas to provide Business Bootcamp sessions to assist small business owners in the area.
For Arkansas City Chamber members, there is a one-time $30 fee per business to register, then sessions are only $10 per person. For non-chamber members, sessions are $50 per person.
The first session on Customer Service was held on September 6 and the next session on Business Design on a Budget will be held from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, September 27. All sessions are held in Room 105 of the Webb-Brown Academic Center.
During the Customer Service workshop participants learned how to develop employees that can make customers happy without compromising business standards or policies. The workshop helped employees understand how to succeed at being understanding, thoughtful and interpersonal with customers and clients.
The upcoming Business Design on a Budget session will help individuals learn the basic principles of design and how to effectively use software to make flyers, business cards, ads and other designs for your business.
On October 4 a Business Computer Applications class will be offered. Attendees will get a deeper understanding of the computer software their business is already using such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Paint, and Publisher.
On October 18 individuals can learn about Branding and Marketing. Learn the importance of logos, branding of your business, how to market to your target audience and how to use a Chamber of Commerce event to promote your business.
The final session on October 11 will cover Social Media. Whether you are marketing to your small town or the entire world, a strong social media presence can boost your sales. Learn how to leverage your marketing presence on today’s big social media platforms.
