With the Holiday season approaching, the Math and Science Club at Cowley College's Mulvane Center collected 314 pounds of canned goods and donated the items to the First Baptist Church Food Bank in Mulvane. read more

In its 13th year of the dictionary project, members of the Rotary Club of Arkansas City distributed more than 250 dictionaries to all the third graders in Arkansas City schools and their teachers. read more

Tigers avenge lone defeat with thrilling 74-72 home win

Getting a steal and dunk from sophomore Brenden Van Dyke on the first possession of Wednesday’s home game against Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa, the Cowley College men's basketball team showed they were not going to back down from the Mavericks, a team the Tigers had lost to by 24 points Saturday in Tonkawa, OK. Feeding off an energetic home crowd, the Tigers led by as many as 11 points in the second half before escaping with the 74-72 win. read more

Tiger baseball players sign with NCAA Division I schools

Four Cowley College sophomore baseball players that will suit up for the Tigers in the spring recently signed to play for NCAA Division I schools after their time at Cowley. Signing with NCAA Division I schools were Cole Larsen, Andrew Roach, Brannon Jordan, and Cody Milligan. read more

Former Lady Tiger volleyball player to experience NCAA DII National Tournament

Brylee Burroughs, a middle hitter from Arkansas City, KS, that helped the Cowley College volleyball team to 65 wins, a District N Championship, a conference title, and a fifth place finish in the NJCAA Division II national tournament during her two years at the school, has continued her winning ways at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith. Burroughs and the Lady Lions’ volleyball team recently defeated St. Edward’s College to win the Heartland Conference Tournament championship and receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II National Tournament. read more

Kolvin Berry leads Tiger wrestlers competing at Kaufman Brands Open

Cowley College sophomore Kolvin Berry was one of several Tiger wrestlers to perform well at the Kaufman Brands Open held Saturday in St. Louis, MO. Berry's third place finish in the 285-pound weight class helped Cowley hold its own as the only junior college at the tournament. read more

The Cowley College women's basketball team bounced back from a 95-73 loss to Northern Oklahoma College-Enid Friday night in Tonkawa, OK, to defeat Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa 73-38 Saturday in the Maverick Classic. read more

It was a tale of two games for the Cowley College men's basketball team at the Maverick Classic played Friday and Saturday in Tonkawa, OK. On Friday, the Tigers defeated Northern Oklahoma College-Enid 83-68 before losing to Northern-Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Saturday by a score of 86-62. read more

Cowley Centers honor Veterans with special screening of Citizen Soldier

As part of the Veterans Day celebration at Cowley College, Staff Sergeant Justin Smith served as the featured speaker during the screening of Citizen Soldier. The screening took place Friday, November 9 in the Earle N. Wright Community Room and was open to the public. The event was co-hosted by Cowley College and the Arkansas City High School student group organizing the Get Loud For Veterans celebration on the same day. read more

On Friday, November 2, four Phi Theta Kappa officers of the Alpha Gamma Upsilon chapter in Ark City left for Manhattan, Kansas, to attend the annual Honors in Action conference. The weekend was packed with a lot of useful information, activity and fellowship. read more

Lady Tiger volleyball team signs Argonia High School standout

The Cowley College volleyball team has signed Cora Vineyard of Argonia, Kansas to begin her college career in the fall of 2019. Vineyard, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter/middle hitter, prepped at Argonia High School where she played four seasons of volleyball. read more

Students showcase their works at Arts & Humanities Day

Cowley College hosted the 13th annual Arts & Humanities Day in Arkansas City on Wednesday, November 7. A total of 118 students and 35 guests took part in the event. read more

Cowley volleyball well represented on all-conference/region teams

Coming off a season in which they went 33-7 and were ranked fourth in the final regular season NJCAA Division II rankings, the Cowley College volleyball team had four players receive all-conference and all-region honors. read more
