Lindsay Allen began her career at Cowley College in 2010 as a part-time instructor. After teaching applied voice and music appreciation for two years, she became a full time faculty member, adding aural skills to her teaching responsibilities.

Originally from Arkansas City, Allen attended Cowley right after high school. While studying music at Cowley, she was a member of the Concert Choir, Cowley Singers, and was involved in the theater program.

After receiving her Associates of Arts from Cowley, Allen continued her education by transferring to Kansas State University. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, she accepted a position to teach elementary music in Tonganoxie, KS. Completing her third year at Tonganoxie, she took the next step in her education by attending Wichita State University to complete a Master's Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in vocal studies.

Whether teaching in the traditional classroom, or teaching students one-on-one in her vocal studio, Allen's love for music is evident in her everyday instruction.
