After serving eight years as the Administrative Assistant, in 2014, Roxanna James was named the Director of the IMPACT/Student Support Services TRIO program.
Roxanna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Friends University and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Fort Hay’s State University.
She is a certified Personal Financial Manager, certified True Colors Presenter, and has completed training in Academic Coaching and On-Course curriculum.
Dianne Flickinger arrived in July 2007 as an English Specialist. Flickinger teaches Composition I and Supplementary Seminar for IMPACT students. She provides strategies and beneficial tools for organizing and editing essays that students have been excited to use.
Flickinger earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education from Tabor College in 1986 and a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Southwestern College in 2016. She has completed training in Academic Coaching, On-Course Curriculum and participated in textbook reviews for Pearson and McGraw Hill. Flickinger serves as the Collegiate Quiz Bowl sponsor since 2014.
Kim joined the IMPACT team in 2017. She has held various positions in the educational field. Kim provides clerical and operational support for the program.
She works closely with the program staff to ensure IMPACT is offering high-quality services and support for the students.
Kim understands many of the barriers and challenges the students are faced with as they take the journey to obtain a post-secondary education, and she is passionate about helping the students succeed.
Mike started at Cowley College in October of 2013. He began working with the Cowley IMPACT team in 2015. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, from Kansas State University.
He is excited to help students grow and is willing to assist students in whatever ways possible to reach their goals. If you have any question about what school is the right fit for you after Cowley, don’t hesitate to drop by his office.

Loretta started as a math tutor in June of 1998, but soon became the full-time Math Specialist. She has the unique ability to teach math so students can truly understand.
Loretta enjoys working with students and teaching the smaller classes in order to give her students the one-on-one attention they need. Loretta earned her Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Southwestern College in 2014.
Ann graduated from Cowley College in 2014 and was a student in the IMPACT department while here. Ann is responsible for communication, maintaining program files, academic event planning, and career services programming.
Ann graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art for Ceramics with a minor in Anthropology in December 2018. Ann is excited to work with students through their college journey.
