Writing Center receives Diana Hacker TYCA Outstanding Programs in English Award

The Writing Center at Cowley College recently received an Honorable Mention in the 2020 Diana Hacker Two-Year College English Association (TYCA) Awards for Outstanding Programs in English in the category of Fostering Student Success. 40-point fourth quarter lifts Lady Tigers to come from behind home playoff win

Facing a 16-point halftime deficit, the No. 7-seeded Cowley College women's basketball team instituted a full-court press in the second half of its game against 10th-seeded Dodge City Wednesday night at W.S. Scott Auditorium. The Lady Conquistadors folded under the pressure, turning the ball over 17 times over the game's final 20 minutes as Cowley rallied for a 100-95 win in the First Round of the Region VI Playoffs. read more

With its strong finish at its sectional championship at Cloud County Community College on Saturday, January 25, the Scholars Bowl team from Cowley College in Arkansas City proved themselves worthy to play on a national stage. Facing deficits of 4-0, 8-5 and 12-11 in the second game of its home doubleheader against Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Friday, the Cowley College softball team got a walk-off two-run homer from sophomore Kalyn Stigall to sweep the two games by scores of 10-2 and 14-12. read more
