Boomer Saia named head women’s tennis coach at Iowa State University

Having had tremendous success as an assistant tennis coach in the Big 12 Conference, former Cowley College tennis player Boomer Saia earned his first head coaching opportunity as he was named head women’s tennis coach at Iowa State University. read more

Board welcomes visit from Lieutenant Governor

Tracey Mann, the Lieutenant Governor of Kansas, made a stop in Arkansas City on Monday and shared a few minutes with Cowley College's Board of Trustees prior to the annual monthly meeting held in the McAtee Dining Center. Prior to visiting with the Board of Trustees, Lieutenant Governor Mann was given a short tour of Cowley College's main campus. read more

TECT Aerospace pledges $150,000 for naming rights at Sumner Campus

With excitement looming for the opening of the new Cowley College Sumner Campus Technology and Innovation Center in the fall of 2018, and the Short General Education Center in the fall of 2019, TECT Aerospace in Wellington, KS, has announced its pledge of $150,000 for naming rights at the Sumner Campus. read more

Cowley College student-athletes continue to perform at a high level academically as evidenced by the College having 56 student-athletes qualify for national academic honors during the 2017-18 academic year. read more

Alex Peterson named NJCAA First Team All-American

Putting together a dominant freshman campaign, Cowley College outfielder Alex Peterson was honored by the NJCAA as a First Team All-American. read more

Graphic Design AAS program update

There are currently 13 students in Cowley College’s Graphic Design AAS program that have completed at least 12 hours in the program at the close of their first year. Graphic Design Instructor Mark Dykes will select 2-3 of the most capable students to set up with regular internship partners at the Arkansas City Chamber of Commerce and Ark City Arts. read more
