61 new members honored at PTK induction

The annual Academic Team Celebration and Induction Ceremony for the Alpha Gamma Upsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa was held Sunday, April 11 in the Brown Center Earle N. Wright Community Room. Sixty-one new members were welcomed to PTK as the celebration was conducted by officers Trevor McDowell, Allie Wright, Shelby White, Brianna Dutton, and Adrienne Norris with advisors Jennifer Rupp, and Melinda Neal. read more

Tiger basketball team earns bye in the first-round of the national tournament

Capturing its first Region VI title in 64 years, the Cowley College men's basketball team earned a bye in the first-round of the NJCAA Division I National Championship held April 19-24 in Hutchinson, KS. Big first half lifts Lady Tiger soccer team to 5-1 win

The No. 19-ranked Cowley College women’s soccer team equaled the amount of goals they had scored on the season in the first half of its game against Johnson County Sunday in Arkansas City. After scoring five goals through the first three games, the Lady Tigers scored five goals in 44 minutes of Sunday’s game as they defeated the Lady Cavaliers 5-1. read more

Cowley College to host vaccination clinics

Cowley College’s main campus in Arkansas City and its Sumner Campus in Wellington will conduct rapid Covid-19 testing and provide a one time dose of the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. The vaccination clinic will take place in Arkansas City on Friday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside W.S. Scott Auditorium, and at the Sumner Campus in Wellington on Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. read more

After winning the first two games of a four-game series against Coffeyville Thursday in Arkansas City, the No. 12-ranked Cowley College baseball team came back from a disappointing 8-7 loss in the first game of a doubleheader played Saturday in Coffeyville to defeat the Red Ravens 12-6 in the nightcap as the Tigers took three of four games in the series. read more

After 64 years since its previous Region VI title, the No. 2-seed Cowley College men’s basketball team defeated top-seeded Hutchinson 116-107 in the championship game of the Region VI Tournament played Saturday at Friends University in Wichita, KS. The No. 12-ranked Cowley College baseball team got a no-hitter from freshman J’Briell Easley in a doubleheader sweep of Coffeyville Community College Thursday in Arkansas City. Easley’s gem led the Tigers to a 3-0 win of game one, while Cowley run-ruled the Red Ravens 16-6 in game two. read more

The No. 8-seeded Cowley College women’s basketball team hung with top-seeded Hutchinson Community College for a half before the Lady Blue Dragons pulled away for an 84-64 win in the quarterfinals of the Region VI Tournament played Wednesday in Hutchinson.
