The Cowley College Board of Trustees will gather for a Legislative Meet and Greet at 5:00 p.m. on November 18, 2019 in the President's private dining room in the McAtee Dining Center, 200 S. 4th, Arkansas City. Legendary baseball coach announces his retirement from Cowley

After 32 seasons in the dugout Dave Burroughs has announced his retirement as head coach of the Cowley College baseball program. The legendary coach will retire with 1,301 wins and two World Series titles. read more

Seven Tiger baseball players sign with four-year schools

Helping the 2019 Cowley College baseball team to conference and region titles and a sixth place finish at the JUCO World Series, seven Tiger baseball players recently signed letters of intent to play at four-year schools after their time at Cowley. read more

Volleyball reflects on another successful season

The Cowley College volleyball team had high hopes for the 2019 campaign. The program was returning several key players and bringing in key freshmen for a competitive season in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC). In the 2019 campaign, the team posted their 19th straight winning season, continuing their streak of successful seasons, recorded their 41st twenty win season in their 44 year program history, and recorded an amazing 26 match winning streak. The team finished with an overall record of 31-6 and 7-3 in KJCCC matches. read more

Fresh off another 30-win season and a top-10 national ranking, the Cowley College volleyball team was well represented on the all-conference and all-district teams. read more

Always positive sophomore named November Student of the Month

Dawson Leach can be seen all around Cowley College and not just the school's main campus in Arkansas City. Leach is involved on Cowley's campuses in Arkansas City, Wellington, and Mulvane. His involvement and positive attitude have helped him to be named Cowley College's November Student of the Month. read more

Veteran's memorabilia displayed at Cowley College

Cowley College put together their first annual Veteran's Day memorabilia event on November 11. A few of the Cowley employees shared some of their memorabilia and pictures from their time in the service as well as their loved one's pictures and memorabilia as well. Several local veterans stopped by to visit and share their stories as well as community members that wanted to see what the event was all about. read more

Davin Taylor wins Windmill Design Contest

The Math & Science Club hosted a Windmill Design Contest on Monday, November 11. The contest, which was open to any current Cowley student, had a total of 28 participants. The goal of the contest was to design a windmill that would generate the most power during its test run. read more

Cowley hosts Trapshooting Invitational

Shooters from surrounding high school shooting programs came together in the first Cowley Trapshooting Invitational hosted by Cowley College at DuckCreek in Winfield, KS, this past Saturday. Thirty three competitors from Cedar Vale/Dexter, Cowley College, Douglass, Wellington and Winfield district shooting programs took part in the event. read more

Cowley wrestling team steps up level of competition

In just its second competition of the season, the Cowley College wrestling team took on some strong opponents at the Oklahoma City Open held Friday and Saturday in Oklahoma City, OK. The Tigers were led by sophomore Ottis Peeler going 4-0 and defeating Oklahoma State University’s Christian McCutcheon in the first place match at 184 pounds. read more

Lady Tigers place eighth at Division I Cross Country Championship

Capping off another stellar season by competing at the NJCAA National Cross Country Championship Saturday in Albuquerque, NM, the Cowley College women's cross country team placed eighth out of 38 teams. read more

Lady Tigers remain unbeaten with pair of wins

Playing its fifth and sixth games in a 10-day span, the Cowley College women's basketball team remained unbeaten with a pair of home wins. The Lady Tigers defeated the Bethel College JV 74-47 on Saturday night before knocking off the Bethany College JV 87-71 on Sunday afternoon. read more

DeSalme becomes all-time winningest coach in Cowley men's basketball history

With his team continuing to blister the nets, Tommy DeSalme became Cowley College's all-time winningest coach in the history of the Tiger men's basketball program as Cowley went 2-0 at the Community State Bank Classic in Coffeyville, KS. read more

Osen named Young Achiever, Peroo receives Ambassador Award

Treated to a wonderful dinner and a murder mystery, a large crowd of Cowley College donors attended the annual Cowley College Foundation banquet Thursday in the Earle N. Wright Community Room. The event had generous support from CPA Solutions L.L.C., and The Trust Company of Kansas who have served as sponsors for the event for a number of years.

During the banquet Avery Osen was announced as this year’s recipient of the Young Achiever Award. The award recognizes individuals age 40 or younger that have had success in their educational achievements, careers and community service, and/or service to Cowley College.

Dr. Gregg then presented the Ambassador Award to Rama Peroo. The award recognizes individuals who have given significant volunteer and other contributions to both Cowley College and the community, and consistently give of themselves and their time to make the community better. read more

Legislative meet and greet planned at Cowley College on November 18

Cowley College staff and students will have an opportunity to visit with area legislators during a legislative meet and greet on Monday, November 18. The event will be held in the Earle N. Wright Community Room. read more

Tiger soccer team headed back to national tournament

For the second straight year the No. 16-ranked Cowley College men's soccer team will get an opportunity to compete for a national championship as they defeated Johnson County 3-1 in the District Plains Championship game held Thursday at the Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, KS. The District title is the first-ever in the history of the men's soccer program. read more

Freshman guards Kalyne Daniels and Shontrice Austin each scored more than 20 points to help lead the Cowley College women’s basketball team to a 87-60 win over Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa Saturday at W.S. Scott Auditorium. read more

Cowley College physics instructor Martin Shaffer recently went to Puerto Rico to give a high energy physics workshop for teachers and students. The workshop took place November 2-3 at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. read more
