Mission Statement

The Career and Technology Department at Cowley College is committed to providing students with necessary skills and values that give them the vision allowing them to grow and adapt to an ever-changing world.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to promote career & technical education opportunities to students within our service area to enhance skill levels, promote educational opportunities, and prepare students for future career prospects.

Free Tuition for High School Students

High school students can take tuition-free CTE classes at Cowley College! The Kansas Board of Regents will pay for the tuition so that students can gain the training needed to enter a profession, and in many cases, earn an industry-recognized credential. Students will need to purchase textbooks and will incur some fees (tools, department fee, background checks as required, supplies, etc.)

Hot Rods ‘N Heat held at Mulvane technical center

Eleven cars were represented at the Hot Rods ‘N Heat event held Saturday, Dec. 5 at Cowley College’s technical center in Mulvane located at 201 Industrial Drive at Marinus-Heersche Industrial Park. Forty members of the public showed up for the event, along with the Marauders Car Club, while KSOK Radio provided music. There were several door prizes including Garth Brooks concert tickets, hot stone massages, a tanning gift certificate, and a gift certificate for flowers from local businesses.

Cowley industry tours held on main campus

Area high school students recently had an opportunity to tour Cowley College’s Career and Technical Education programs as part of Cowley industry tours with the Cowley County Economic Development Department, also referred to as Cowley First. Joe Clasen, Cowley College Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department Chair, said several local business owners were also brought in to discuss what opportunities are available to the students. read more
